Original goodness

We are responsable for our own egoic (false self)~mistakes, which is the problemWe must name it to tame it. By identifying the problem without getting consumed in it-healing happens. Jesus never had conversations with demons, but merely recognized them for what they are. Today we may not want to use the term-demon-devil (which is in us collectively~and than projected outward!), so we soften it by using more modern terms like ego-false self etc. Why is this? Very simple-the ego-false self looks to reconstruct it self any way it can and part of it is the very terms and words that will cause bristling. It matters not, as long as the point is clear. The point is embracing our original "goodness"~that which God intended before the beginning. Let not certain terms prevent the truth form sowing seeds deep within the heart. In the end truth is truth and this is what sets us free from the bondage of self.

I agree that we can and should name evil as evil. But unless we first name the underlying goodness and coherence of reality, along with our own imperfectionwe will attack it with methods and self-righteousness that will only deepen the problem. (Quote-Fr. Rich Rohr)

Matthew 8:16
When evening came, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed; and He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were ill.

1 John 3:8
The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work.
