Lesson 43

God is my Source. I cannot see apart from Him.

1. Perception is not an attribute of God. ²His is the realm of knowledge. ³Yet He has created the Holy Spirit as the Mediator between perception and knowledge. ⁴Without this link with God, perception would have replaced knowledge forever in your mind. ⁵With this link with God, perception will become so changed and purified that it will lead to knowledge. ⁶That is its function as the Holy Spirit sees it. ⁷Therefore, that is its function in truth.

2. In God you cannot see. ²Perception has no function in God, and does not exist. ³Yet in salvation, which is the undoing of what never was, perception has a mighty purpose. ⁴Made by the Son of God for an unholy purpose, it must become the means for the restoration of his holiness to his awareness. ⁵Perception has no meaning. ⁶Yet does the Holy Spirit give it a meaning very close to God’s. ⁷Healed perception becomes the means by which the Son of God forgives his brother, and thus forgives himself.

Following interior cleansing a settling down period is vital.  A time for deeper integration and soothing rest.  This is a wonderful nourishment for the journey ahead.  We come to awaken to a journey without a distance. It then begins to go through those particular characteristics. The first one is called Trust. In that section called Trust it goes into six different stages of the development of trust.  I'd like to share on that a little today because it's so powerfully true.  The first stage of the development of trust is called a period of undoing. The second is called a period of sorting out. The third is called a period of relinquishment. The fourth is called a period of settling down. The fifth is called a period of unsettling. The sixth is called a period of achievement. All of these traits rest on one thing alone and that is Trust and so the next section is called honesty and that is what I will read from A Course in Miracles underneath the above scribing. Honesty 1. All other traits of God’s teachers rest on trust. ²Once that has been achieved, the others cannot fail to follow. ³Only the trusting can afford honesty, for only they can see its value. ⁴Honesty does not apply only to what you say. ⁵The term actually means consistency. ⁶There is nothing you say that contradicts what you think or do; no thought opposes any other thought; no act belies your word; and no word lacks agreement with another. ⁷Such are the truly honest. ⁸At no level are they in conflict with themselves. ⁹Therefore it is impossible for them to be in conflict with anyone or anything. Divine autonomy

A deep Soul surrender into the Mystery of God's perfect  LOVE in this Holy instant. A Course in Miracles 12. God is as dependent on you as you are on Him, because His Autonomy encompasses yours, and is therefore incomplete without it. ²You can only establish your autonomy by identifying with Him, and fulfilling your function as it exists in truth. ³The ego believes that to accomplish its goal is happiness. ⁴But it is given you to know that God’s function is yours, and happiness cannot be found apart from Your joint Will. ⁵Recognize only that the ego’s goal, which you have pursued so diligently, has merely brought you fear, and it becomes difficult to maintain that fear is happiness. ⁶Upheld by fear, this is what the ego would have you believe. ⁷Yet God’s Son is not insane, and cannot believe it. ⁸Let him but recognize it and he will not accept it. ⁹For only the insane would choose fear in place of love, and only the insane could believe that love can be gained by attack. ¹⁰But the sane realize that only attack could produce fear, from which the Love of God completely protects them. 13. The ego analyzes; the Holy Spirit accepts. ²The appreciation of wholeness comes only through acceptance, for to analyze means to break down or to separate out. Prayer of Thanksgiving

True prayer is one of Thanksgiving. 

Set aside every concept held about another. 

Forgive the images the ego made to blind true Christ vision.

When the Prayer of Thanksgiving is offered the light of awareness of Christ is felt and known in the Soul that remembered.

7. Praying to Christ in anyone is true prayer because it is a gift of thanks to His Father. ²To ask that Christ be but Himself is not an entreaty. ³It is a song of thanksgiving for what you are. ⁴Herein lies the power of prayer. ⁵It asks nothing and receives everything. ⁶This prayer can be shared because it receives for everyone. ⁷To pray with one who knows that this is true is to be answered. ⁸Perhaps the specific form of resolution for a specific problem will occur to either of you; it does not matter which. ⁹Perhaps it will reach both, if you are genuinely attuned to one another. ¹⁰It will come because you have realized that Christ is in both of you. ¹¹That is its only truth.
