We are not here to serve our small myopic view of what we think we want or what we think others want. This is mere egoic illusions. The things of this world can become idols and blocks to our own Souls unity in God. True prayer is when we completely abandon ourselves empty out of all blocks to Love's presence and give ourselves over to God completely.  All real Joy comes from doing God's will and nothing else will bring us peace.  Spend this day and each day forward opening up the heart coherence to communion with the Divine which is in Us, as Us.  We are what Created Us to BE.
