Quiet mind

 A quiet mind equals a joyful heart, filled with love and peace. The ego's chatter is endless and goes nowhere, and we can choose not to listen to it's lies. When we choose only God (Love) the ego dissolves and literally is nowhere! Only the love is real, everything else is illusion.

Lesson 286

The hush of Heaven holds my heart today. 

Father, how still today! How quietly do all things fall in place! This is the day that has been chosen as the time in which I come to understand the lesson that there is no need that I do anything. In You is every choice already made. In You has every conflict been resolved. In You is everything I hope to find already given me. Your peace is mine. My heart is quiet, and my mind at rest. Your Love is Heaven, and Your Love is mine. 

The stillness of today will give us hope that we have found the way, and travelled far along it to a wholly certain goal. Today we will not doubt the end which God Himself has promised us. We trust in Him, and in our Self, Who still is One with Him.

Grace

We must make a clean space for God's Grace to settle in. When we truly give ourselves over to house cleaning as many may do in recovery work (step 4~especially), or other Spiritual practices, we become truly born again. Look at it this way, we cannot put good things into a big barrel if the barrel is loaded up with tons of junk. It just will not work. Clean house, trust God, serve others!

By grace I live. By grace I am released. 

Grace is an aspect of the Love of God which is most like the state prevailing in the unity of truth. It is the world's most lofty aspiration, for it leads beyond the world entirely. It is past learning, yet the goal of learning, for grace cannot come until the mind prepares itself for true acceptance. Grace becomes inevitable instantly in those who have prepared a table where it can be gently laid and willingly received; an altar clean and holy for the gift.

Grace

Quiet observer

Jesus teaches us to wear the world like a loose garment. We must be the quiet observer of the world, seeking only to forgive dreams of pain and suffering and go out side the dream with Christ and experience His perfect love and power, and know this is the only reality. We than can forgive everything else and return in the world~ reborn!

Lesson 334

Today I claim the gifts forgiveness gives. 

I will not wait another day to find the treasures that my Father offers me. Illusions are all vain, and dreams are gone even while they are woven out of thoughts that rest on false perceptions. Let me not accept such meager gifts again today. God's Voice is offering the peace of God to all who hear and choose to follow Him. This is my choice today. And so I go to find the treasures God has given me. 

I seek but the eternal. For Your Son can be content with nothing less than this. What, then, can be his solace but what You are offering to his bewildered mind and frightened heart, to give him certainty and bring him peace? Today I would behold my brother sinless. This Your Will for me, for so will I behold my sinlessness.

Trust in spiritual sight

God will take care of all our needs, our upsets, our confused mind, when we let Him. We so often think we have things figured out, yet it is incorrect. Our false ideas about our identity (work~intellect~titles etc) vanish when we experience true love in Spirit. When we become still, and rest in the presence of God, love embraces us in truth. Spiritual sight returns us Home.

Isaiah 40:2-23

22 It is God Who sits above the circle (the horizon) of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; it is He Who stretches out the heavens like [gauze] curtains and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in,

23 Who brings dignitaries to nothing, Who makes the judges and rulers of the earth as chaos (emptiness, falsity, and futility).

Trust in spiritual sight

Eternal light

The blindness we have is the ego's heavy veil infront of the truth. How did it get there? We put it there. When we eat from a tree that has bad fruit, the results are simply bad. Pretty simple, right? The good news is we can do nothing to change the truth, it has remained the same. The light was always shining~the veil is lifted!

1 John 2:7

8 Yet I am writing you a new commandment, which is true (is realized) in Him and in you, because the darkness (moral blindness) is clearing away and the true Light (the revelation of God in Christ) is already shining.

Eternal light

Let the Divine direct

Make spirituality simple and all else happens without effort. Effortlessness comes from the total abandonment of self (ego-the illusion). We are the Divine expression of God's love. Let go let the Divine direct.

Colossians 2: 9-10 

9 For in Him the whole fullness of Deity (the Godhead) continues to dwell in bodily form [giving complete expression of the divine nature].

10 And you are in Him, made full and having come to fullness of life [in Christ you too are filled with the Godhead—Father, Son and Holy Spirit—and reach full spiritual stature]. And He is the Head of all rule and authority [of every angelic principality and power].

Let the Divine direct

Full reliance in Spirit

One gentle step at a time we awake to life in the spirit. This is not an over night matter although some times it can be, and a person can have a sudden awakening all at once. Our human bodies are meant to be in service of Spirit which is pure joy, and total freedom. The journey will be one of subtraction, not addition. God is not lost. We have put other distractions in the way which must become subtractions. Let it go, and be moved and breathed by the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 3:4-6

4 Such is the reliance and confidence that we have through Christ toward and with reference to God.

5 Not that we are fit (qualified and sufficient in ability) of ourselves to form personal judgments or to claim or count anything as coming from us, but our power andability and sufficiency are from God.

6 [It is He] Who has qualified us [making us to be fit and worthy and sufficient] as ministers and dispensers of a new covenant [of salvation through Christ], not [ministers] of the letter (of legally written code) but of the Spirit; for the code [of the Law] kills, but the [Holy] Spirit makes alive.
